Rain Jacket
I'm looking for a rain jacket that I could just fold and throw into my jersey pocket. I've seen them on other cyclists but I can't make out the brand. It looks like a plastic bag with a zipper. Very thin. Do they tear easy? I'm just wanting something to keep me somewhat dry.

I have a Castelli rain cape, its see through and quite thin. Keeps my core dry for quite a bit.

I don't know why it would tear other than a crash.

I have an Endura FS 260, and it works perfectly. It's held up to 5 months of winter commuting with a bag strap over the shoulder and is still waterproof. And seems very robust. I expect that the other items on the market are of similar quality.

The other advantage of an item like this is that you can take it running on a windy day and then pull it off when you get too hot.

First choice is a 'Showers Pass' one, also have had luck with Pearl stuff.

I have one of these:

I've only had to use it twice but it folds up pretty small and it's cheap and durable.

Edit: I suspect that people that wrote bad reviews bought a jacket that was too small.
