Blood flow optimizing supplements in long distance events

Anyone ever tried or know anything about using a blood flow optimizer(vasodilator) during a long distance event like an ironman? This could be anything from GNC's amplified endurance booster V2 to most any preworkout energy supplement. I've used it for short intense workouts and it seems to work great, but I don't know how it would work during a race where you stayed below your lactate threshold for the vast majority.

your body shunts blood optimally through autoregulation. No need for supplements.

Blood supply is in no way a limiter during long races. They are about metabolic fitness.

Blood supply is indeed a limiter, and vasodilation by NO/nitrate via beets has had great effects in studies.
