Sometimes I just scratch my head....
One of my boys lives in England and his buddy was racing IM UK in Bolton - the racer has to be careful on what he eats and drinks on the bike so what he was set up in T1 was unique for him. He had a great swim and got to his bike and found all his bottles and nutrition had been taken from his bike - leaving him nothing!!! So he tried to take what was on the course and ran into trouble on the run and DNF.

So WTF!!!! I assume it must have been another athlete (obviously a big assumption), and sometimes I just scratch my head....

Yup - that would piss you off.

You gotta wonder the moral compass of some athletes, I guess there's dickheads in every walk of life though.

Bad luck.

Wow! I just cannot imagine doing that to someone. The fact that everything was taken seems personally malicious instead of someone simply grabbing a couple gels, which is still inexcusable.

I have a pretty bad latex allergy, so I bought silicone caps in a variety of colors, and race directors will usually let me wear my own as long as it matches the color of the wave. I have had those stolen out of transition, and that pisses me off, but I would be furious if my race was ruined because of theft.

Nothing particularly constructive to add other than that sucks!

Out of interest, was it all left in overnight or just on the day of the race? I ask because overnight I can see it being a little more vulnerable, people moving lots in and out and that stuff isn't numbered like bike/ helmet. But if on the day thats a bit surprising as surely lots of people would have noticed and it would have looked a bit odd.
