Just got my Quarq Riken AL installed, have to do first FTP. What is the best way to do this? On Trainer? Out on the road? Also is there a cadence to shoot for? Or any other information you want to add, thanks for the help I am new to all this.

trainer road 20min or 8min FTP is your best bet

I'm really interested to hear people's responses too, as I'm sure this has never been asked and there is probably no information if you Google "FTP test bike".

I think that this answers it

Search function top right, buy Coggan's book or search Coggan on here, on search FTP

or if you have trainer road, you don't even have to think, just do the 20 minute test
