E-Fly Shimano wireless shifting
Not sure if anyone posted yet but I just read about Shimano's new E-Fly wireless shifting. Looks like some kind of gear selection to a display.

Hello dkennison and All,

That was quick ....

Must have been waiting for SRAM to go first ...

Not wireless shifting. Wireless data sent to your head unit so you don't have to look down at your back wheel to see what gear you are in.

Maybe it could control your shiftin based on an export from bestbikesplit. That would be cool.

Pretty boring product to be honest and the shimano computer which is compatible is a throwback to 2001 cateye. The latest generation of garmin computers can talk to this unit but I've yet to see a compelling feature here.

I don't get what that is doing other than providing gear data to your headunit. If it's hooked in to the DI2 battery which is all part of the e-tube communications system, it's not wireless shifting. That's like plugging in a live Ethernet cable and also turning on wireless.
