There are some chart samples using the new formulas at:
https://github.com/...e/master/test/charts, for example:

To compute sTSS and to compare to SwimScore:

To compute (a proxy of) rTSS according what has been discussed here (http://forum.slowtwitch.com/...post=1730370#1730370) and to compare with GOVSS:

Plus other examples computing average stroke length, SWOLF, etc. To use the samples just Drag&Drop then onto GC main window.

One more example using formulas: VDOT and Triathlon Run Splits:

Hi,

I downloaded GC 3.2 and the upgrade process had 150 errors. It looks like GC is trying to delete the activity files but cannot. FYI my files are in a dropbox directory.

I read the trouble shooting guide and it says the following.

What to do:
You need to verify if the reported files "really" exist in the target sub-directory and should then delete them manually (from the athlete root folder). Also here please backup any file you plan to delete to another place in case you later find out the the deletion was a mistake.

I'm not 100% sure what this means. What is the targe sub-directory? Is the athlete root folder the my dropbox folder?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

It is the /activities folder under athlete's directory

Ok, I found the sub-directory under C:\Dropbox\GoldenCheetah\<athlete_Name>\activities and deleted the .json files there.
  • If I delete the files, re-start GC and abort the upgrade GC won't start
  • If I delete the files, re-start GC and click 'Proceed to Athlete' the upgrade process starts and the files show up again

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here but it feels like I'm going around in circles.

In previous versions activity files were on <athlete_name>\ folder in native format, the upgrade process convert them to native GC format (.json), store them on <athlete_name>\ activities folder and deletes the older ones on <athlete_name>\ folder, this last step seems to be failing in your case -likely due to a permission problem- and those are the files you need to delete previous verification the new ones are ok.

Success!

Ok, i deleted the .tcx and .gpx files in "C:\Dropbox\GoldenCheetah\<athlete_Name>" and ran the upgrade process once more. This time it completed with out errors.

Thanks very much for your help.

Have a nice Sunday!

Hi there!

Regarding swim metrics in Golden Cheetah: What is correct value for setting critical velocity for swimming? Is this my 1500 meters best? Is it 100 meters best? Or 400m?

Thanks :)
