Most can't get past the basic concept of training for fitness, not training to practice the event. I bet I could finish within 15 minutes of my IM time never riding over 3 hours, swimming over 500y straight or running over 10 miles at one time. You could push that one farther and make that 2 hours, 100y straight swim with at least 10" rest, and 8 miles within 24 hours. But now your really pushing it I think. That alone would be a pretty cool challenge.
