Will a 10 speed front der work on an 11 speed Dura-Ace 9000 tt build

Hi,
I am trying to convert my Shiv tt from 10 speed to 11 speed on the cheap.
Will a 10 speed front derailleur like a 7800 work for this?
I thought that it might as I believe the 9000 bar-end shifters are friction?
Has anyone else done this? Does it work well?

Front derailleur doesn't care how many gears are on the rear wheel, because it's the same setup (2 chainrings) up front.

I think only the opening width of the cage is narrower 7900-9000, it sure looks narrower on 11speed, not sure why it would be necessary though. narrower via plastic filler
