Well, i did it and beat the swim cutoff. After doing some practise swims here I was worried. Normally I do a HIM swim in 43 to 47 minutes so when I first came here I wasn't worried. BUT, in practise here my times were abysmal and I started to get worried.
Turns out I needed to be worried. I was in at 1:03 and change so 15 to 20 minutes slower than normal. Either there was a current or the salt water is way thick and slowed me down :(. My Garmin read 2.1Km and while I'm not the straitest swimmer, that is the most it has ever ready after a HIM swim.
Guess its a good thing that signed up for swim sessions this Fall again.

Pain is temporary, not giving it your all lasts all Winter.
