I also used to wear the fuel belts but found when I was doing harder/faster workouts the riding up of the belt would really distract me so I switched to a vest and love it. I'm a 5'3" female and running the hot/humid Virginia heat and haven't had any issues with it. Although since my husband still hasn't fixed our ice machine (going on 1.5years since it broke) I can't vouch for it's cooling abilities but I does keep the cool faucet water cool for a decent amount of time.
