They had a post in the Endurance News Wire several weeks for a job. I may have read it incorrectly, but there was something in it about expansive growth and an IPO. Maybe it's old news. Maybe this has nothing to do with that.

One does not going from being a not respected and bad at what you do to the world's greatest running company. They will never compare to the likes of the BAA, NYRR or any of the companies who put on the majors. They merely bottom feed off of people looking for gimmicky marathons, they provide low quality entertainment for more money which can easily be outmatched by at least a half dozen marathons/halfs in almost every state in the US.
Keep dreaming, CG. I feel like this is just a fancy way of saying, these parts aren't profitable for us and we're going to try to hold on to our one trick pony.

What they did with Velonews was just awful mismanagement. Just destroyed that brand.
