I'm really happy for Martin. He seems again to not be as well placed, but did well despite earlier setbacks this year. Keiatkowski looked strong, though i still think his form is on the decline.

I predicted, in no particular order, TJS, Mollema, Piti, Gilbert, Albasini, Moreno, Arredondo. Seven out of eleven, though i wouldnt have picked Piti for the win.

LBL should be good this Sunday. Martin, Nibali, Piti, Jill Bear, Rui Costa, Simon Clarke, van den Broecke, Geschke, Roche, and Slagter should make up the top ten. Fuglsang, Moreno, Gallopin, Kwaitkowski, Bakelandt, Kangert, and le Grenouille are outside picks who could crack top ten.

For the podium:

Caddy: Jill Bear
Steak knives: Martin
Fired: Rui Costa

just decided to swap Caddy and Steak knives. this edition has a bit more climbing, so Dan Martin

sorry i'm not in the know, but the whole rankings with "steak knives" "you're fired" etc.. where did that come from, or is it organic to ST?

I appreciate this thread every year, spring classics are my fave and I learn a lot about whats what in the pro peleton by reading here.

Seriously! I have no idea how that happened. Was it the crosswalk paint he slid on? He did not appear to be going that fast (they are still climbing).

Twitter is rumoring a rolled tub and the associated sacked mechanic.

The former being the actual rumor and the latter being my speculation.

Seems like it was a clipped pedal. His rear wheel is the one that slides out, and when he gets up both tires are fine, and the chain isn't broken (another theory).
