Anyone know if this race is likely to sell out? If so how quickly? Thanks.

That's a typo. The RD said so on the facebook page. They are going to fix the website.

Gotcha. I thought that seemed awfully weird given that it is now an out and back. Will be better for spectators and probably a lot faster as well.

Not so much a fan of this move. Then again, I had nobody watching me and the harder runs help me.

Probably like Augusta......will likely sell out but not until much closer to race date.

Pink? Maybe. Maybe not. You decide.

I am surprised it hasn't sold out already. I would imagine it is close.

Does anyone have a .gpx file for the bike course that they'd be willing to share?

Brian,

Any details that you can share about the reason/reasons behind the bike course change?

Thanks,

Road construction on Advent Ferry Road is the reason for the change. I have not heard the proposed new course has been permitted or not. I have heard that the proposed course has some bad sections of pavement in them but about the same difficulty as far as hills.

Well, general entry for individual & relay teams have sold out. Ironman Foundation slots are only left now. So, for all intents & purposes, it is sold out.

Pink? Maybe. Maybe not. You decide.

I'm looking at the bike course map. Looks like some pretty significant changes between the start and Optimist Farm. Not being on Old US1 for as long probably won't be a bad thing. And, most everything after you turn off Old US1 to Optimist Farm appears to be changed (except for the New Hill Rd section)?

I think that it's because of this construction project.

Figured. It's amazing what one intersection of construction can do to a bike course.
