My swim at Leadman was 4 seconds off my swim at IMWI 2 weeks prior if that is any indication

He had 55x11. I ran my 50x11 out at 48 mph so I can see it.

But there were some crazy cross and headwinds at times. The first descent to the turn was scary. But learned to descend more relaxed haha!

Yo Brent,
Was great racing with you through the day. You definitely knew how to go downhill from where I was watching
Cheers
Rob

Thanks Rob!

You had the run I wanted though. I ran better at the end but what a tough day!

I had fun on the descents. Hasn't been a specialty and worked hard, but there was ZERO technical stuff so just relaxed and pushed a bit, wanted to see how it worked out. Not well for 5 miles but last 5 were ok.

Awesome job - hope to race again soon!

Does anyone know the exact distance of tge swim? It wasn't 5km

Garmin 910 had 1.2 miles for 1 loop. I was guessing it was approximately 600m short per loop. I did the 125 and it was inline with my half swim.

My name is Rick and I did the 125. My friend wore his garmin and got 1.2 miles exactly for the swim.

I can't imagine going 60mph on a bike! I hit 45 a couple of times out there yesterday, and I was scared shitless. I didn't stay aero at that speed - I wanted my hands on the brakes!

Assuming great alignment, and a proper balanced fit and set up on a bike, bikes are pretty stable at these higher speeds.

The road in question here, was for the most part a straight-shot down-hill, on pristine, freshly paved, very smooth surface, with a tail-wind. I was going 55 mph in the car and keeping same distance back of some of the guys near the front of the field.

Indeed, the conditions of the road on the descent were pristine! The odd side gust made it slightly sketchy with the deep wheels, but other than that it was a pretty nice ride back to town. The field was nicely spread out by that point, and the cars were keeping a nice distance.

PS. Was good to finally meet you at the breakfast, Steve.
