My gut (which by no means makes it true. If there were evidence that proved otherwise, I side with the evidence and change my position)
Also, there are far too many reports where a woman claims she was raped and is then punished or killed for adultry or to save familys honor.
Given that, it becoes clear that a woman wouldnt be quick to say she was sexually assaulted.

I can't believe this story is really true, mainly because I'm not sure any Iranian religiously oriented male would ever admit to being beat up by a woman. ;-)
On a side note, I've found Iranian women to be among some of the most beautiful around. Covering them in chador as the establishment there prefers is kind of a crime in its own right, in my opinion.

All those women over in that part of the world; very exotic and beautiful looking in their youth, for certain. Also, turns out it may been two women that beat this cleric up, as had been initially reported At least, that's what CNN is now saying. That may explain things a bit more about the fairly ugly looking assault this cleric underwent. Maybe he was just plain shocked that his authority was being challenged and froze up, giving them the chance to do a Texas Two-Step on his head?
Also; for what it's worth, I'm always being told that it's actually the women over in Iran that are goading men to take action against the ruling establishment and its way of doing things. That also makes eminent sense, considering that "behind every great man..." and so on and so forth.
