Saw Dave and Crowie tonight...

...and boy, they both looked awfully fit!
They were at a speaking engagagement in suburban Chicago (courtesy of Runners High and Tri, which does a nice job of hosting these events) and it was a fun time. A questioner asked Dave that "If you were in your prime, could you beat Craig?" Got a laugh as they were sitting right next to each other, but Dave took it on and in the end he credited Craig's running prowess (said he really felt that Crowie was capable of low 2:30's in Kona) and that his running couldn't quite match that.
I first met Dave over 20 years ago and he looked leaner tonight than I have ever seen him. Gave hope to another guy staring down his late 50's!

Scary thing about Dave, when you see him again in two years he will stop and say "hi Mark". Dude has a crazy memory!

He knew split times down to the second last night.
Craig had a funny moment as well. Guy in the crowd asked that if he could run a 3:30 stand alone marathon, what did they think his time in an Ironman marathon c/s/would be. Crowie goes "3:31."

That's actually really funny. I actually don't know the answer to this, but has CA ever done a timed, stand-alone marathon? It would be interesting to see how fast he could run that.
