Rain forecasted, which setup?

60% chance of rain during a race tomorrow. Winds only supposed to be 6mph. Which setup, or an alternate, should I use? Just a sprint, but I was hoping to try out setup #1 and still have a shot at a PR.
1. 404s with aero cover on the back, aero helmet
2. DT 585s with no aero cover, road helmet
3. Some other combination

Race as planned i would. My biggest concern is not the wheel or helmet combo, but the tyres/carbon brakes u use to handle wet conditions.

That's a good point. Clinchers with aluminum tracks. Conti 4000 tires and latex tubes.

What brake pads are you using with the 404s? How technical is the course? If it's not that technical, definitely go with #1. If you have little experience cornering in the rain with carbon brake surfaces, go with #2. As much as you want a PR, it's not worth hurting yourself/and or others because you couldn't slow down enough and ended up crashing.
Hopefully, the rain might deter folks from racing, so you'll have fewer racers on the course...:)

Sounds good, your only missing gloves if its a technical course if its pouring!

Soften the suspension, more downforce, and intermediates or wets depending on how much rain is expected,
But seriously - full aero, take it easy around the turns.

Just using the pads that came with the Ultegra calipers.
Hadn't thought about gloves, but the course is much less than technical.
So the tires or tubes aren't a problem? No need to throw the Gatorskins on there?

Dont so, Conti 4000 corner grip in the wet fine. Unless its pedal deep. Take it easy as the others have said on the corners. Theirs always another day to smash a PR.

The New Specialized Wind Tunnel
Will this be a game changer for Specialized, in both sales and product design, or will it not move the sales and design needle versus those in Specialized's competitive set?
Yes, Game Changer
Minor move forward
Won't budge the needle
