A bit off topic, but as much as I don't worry too much about "the Rules", I am interested in the etiquette of riding 808s on my S2. Lot's of guys are riding 404s on their roadies in group rides, but I only have one set of "good" wheels (the 808s) - and I bought them for my tri bike. I prefer them to the wheels that came with my S2, but is it nutty to ride a road bike with 808s? In theory there is no reason not to - the S2 is all about aero and the race tires I have on the 808s are nicer to ride than on my other wheels. I live in flat land so weight is not an issue. I am a good bike handler so there is no safety issue to the group. What do you guys think? (to be clear - I know enough to know that aero helmets are an outright "no")
I ride my 2010 808s on my road bike daily. Mine are clinchers though, I probably wouldn't ride them daily if they were tubulars just because of the hassle of flatting.
