New bike Pr0n - Planet EX!
Was looking into a new bike, higher end alu or lower end carbon, and winded up in Brian Ray, President of Planet X USA,'s lap. He provided me with his own PERSONAL ride. A PX Pro Carbon SL racer with Rival components, a Force crank, and carbo bars. SWEET!

Anyway, it just came today. Haven't finished setting up the seat OR the spacers, so no ripping on it just yet ;)

Here are some pics. It's quite a beautiful bike if I do say so myself. What do you think?

The wife beater and jeans makes a classic pose. It must be really fast if you don't even need pedals.

But I LIKE the red bar tape. Red's my fav color. And yeah, I still gotta take care of the bars. I got excited, and just wanted to put it together quickly.

Out come the spacers too. 1, 2, maybe 3? There are 4 on there. I'm gonna get used to the lightness of the thing before I take out all the spacers.

"I want a water slide"

Me and my friends built a water slide for our tree house when I was kid. It was kick ass. PM me for instructions.

So basically, I took out two spacers (a small one and a big one) and put them on top of the stem (I think that's how it's supposed to go).

But now when I shake around the front wheel, there's a little bit of noise. Do I need a steerer tube compressor or something like that. I see that there's a tiny (~1-2mm) gap where the sloping spacer (it looks like a spacer) doesn't sit flush on the frame.

Did I lose you? If not, here's my question:

1. Did it sit flush before?
2. Should I worry?
3. If there's something to do to fix it, what is that thing?

Oh, and I leveled the bars. They look pretty fly.

Your headset is now loose - this is proof that you need to go to a bike shop and have a stoned 19 year old with facial piercings handle this for you.

It's the basement in my parents' house. Call it the kids' play area.

Hence the hockey nets in the background.

We put it up to make some extra cash on the side on Sundays. .50 to ride or 7 bucks for an all day pass. Season passes go on sale for 40 bucks and last the entire year.

Thanks for your opinion but no it's not.

Wait, what goal?

1st AG in IMFLA 70.3?

that's not for a couple years, but a goal in the making, nonetheless...

Sorry, I should have said "hockey net" rather than "goal." Your hockey net's too high ...

Labels on the tires need to be aligned with the valve stems.

Assuming it's a carbon steer tube on the fork, you just need a second person to push down on the stem while you tighten the top cap/compression plug to ensure everything is held in place. Then tighten the stem bolts.

And one question about the frame: what's going on with the ripple in the downtube? There's an obvious crease you can see with the "ET" in the "PLANET X." Is this present on the other side, or a flaw in the frame?

It's the design!

It's also underneath the "Superlight Pro" on the top tube. I think it's a really nice modern touch.
