1918 Wheat Penny
I found a 1918 Wheat Penny. Any coin collectors wanting to buy or trade for it. I know nothing about coins so might be worthless or worth something. Surprise me.

The value depends on the mint mark. Is it a D , S, none? Just say'n.

Could be worth 11 cents or as much as $45.

On the front side (the side with Lincoln), look just below the date. There will either be a letter "D", "S", or nothing. Below is a pic of a penny with D. The letter stood for where the penny was minted. D=Denver, S=San Francisco, and no mark = Philadelphia. I'm not a coinologist, but if I recall Philadelphia were the most common, and I think San Francisco rarest, so that would affect the value.

Numismatist, just sayin.

OP- it depends where it was minted, and even more what condition the coin is in. In excellent condition, could be worth $30 or better.

That's funny I was once cleaning out a house and found three rolls of pennies in the mints original wrappers of the 1909vdb penny. I think 1909 what ever year was the first. Funny someone wrote "for you for a rainy day." on the outside of them. Needless to say they brought a pretty penny and paid for a trip to the alantis paradise island and it did not rain all week :0) good thing I was not into tri then....... I probably would have blown on a bike and not a family vacation.
