cyclingnews.com reports that 34 year old former world road cycling champion Abraham Olano ran the San Sebastian marathon in 2:39 (finishing 34th overall).

Olano is actually 36, I thought he must have been even older since he disappeared off the scene a while ago. Anyway, the results can be found here:

So the final result is:

1. Olano 2:39:19
2. Aldag 2:42:54
3. Jalabert 2:55:39

Olano must also be carrying 20 lbs on these guys. Pretty awesome! As for winning Kona, well as a bare minimum he's not that far off from being able to jump in and be competitive at an event like Zofingen!!!
