     Photo Caption Competition #1 2012

After a little break we are ready again for a photo caption competition. The picture below was taken during a practice swim before a fairly big triathlon.

Give this photo an interesting caption and we'll award the best caption (editors discretion will narrow it down to the top 3 and then you get to vote for your favorite) a pair of Pearl Izumi Tri-Fly III Carbon shoes courtesy of pearlizumi.com

Rules: All captions have to be posted in the forum, so no PMs please. No more than 3 different captions for each user per photo caption competition. Should more be posted, the first 3 will count.

We'll keep this competition open for about 8-10 days.

Below is an image of the Pearl Izumi Tri-Fly III Carbon shoes

Thanks,

Herbert

This Easter weekend, Fred was forced to pick two

1. Being aerodynamic for the annual Easter swim practice
2. Being positively buoyant for the annual Easter swim practice
3. Copious amounts of Chocolate Bunnies

Killing two bunnies with one stone, the choice was obvious.

After hearing about the intensity of the Arab sun, Bill planned ahead and found a new way to keep cool during the swim. Unfortunately, he didn't plan for the extra thrashing required from the reduced drag and overheated during his struggle through the swim portion of the race, failing to finish.

When Lance Armstrong's zipper breaks it's a venting system and everyone wants to know where to buy a suit like that.

Frank doesn't agree with the slowtwitch triathlon forum opinion that strength training is useless so he is ready to conduct an N=1 experiment. After 3 months of strength training his left lattisimus dorsi he will compare his left arm strength to his right arm strength during this Kona qualifier triathlon. Results of the study will be published to Google as a white paper.

Ok, I figured out this great strategy on how to get to the podium

First, I'll leave my wetsuit unzipped. That will save me at least three seconds heading into T1. And then, while I'm on the bike in the last 500 meters heading to T2, I'll exchange my cycling shoes for my running shoes (which I had strapped to my bike seat). That way I can run through transition at full speed and save another five seconds.

Podium, here I come!!!!

here's a few

1. even though it was just practice, Bob still felt the shiver of excitement run up his spine.

2.It would soon become clear that Bob's interpretation of 'open' category was flawed.

3. Bob felt way more comfortable after the last minute shuffle of the stuff in Nature's pocket but in the panic he had yet to realize his big mistake.

4.. HEY FELLAS....FELLAAAS... COME BACK... I NEED HELP WITH MY SUIT....FELLAAAAAAAS....

5. Alone and quiet before the big race, Bob thought he a had a pretty good crack at a decent finish.
