Yes, I know, now for something completely different.......(which means this thread will probably quickly head to the 2nd page, since it's not about politics - oh well ;-))

To sum - I'm asking for everyone's help to fulfill my dream of being a Bat Girl for the White Sox.

My story as to why this is important to me is here, on my blog. If you read it, you'll see that the brilliant idea to post this came from one of my readers - and I of course latched onto that right away. Boobs and baseball! If that doesn't sum up ST, then what does? Though I will add for the ST guys (and to preempt the obvious question/comment) - YES, there will be pictures. ;-)

Hi all -

Okay, so the above was what I wrote last year. Then this year, I entered the contest again - though I had a very Zen approach to it. I wrote my entry, then didn't worry about it again. I wasn't going to get my hopes up again, since last year the woman who won for the Sox wasn't even a survivor, but had just raised a lot of money for Komen.

And guess what, I won! I think the picture of me at a BC conference, with the pink ribbon Komen balloon around my head, was what put me over the top. The game was this last Sunday, and it's all chronicled here. And even though the Sox basically did less for this whole thing than any other team (shocking), it was still an amazing, wonderful day with family and friends, and yes, my awesome brother.

So thank you again, all of you, for all your efforts on my behalf last year. It's no lie to say that I carried all of you with my in my heart on Sunday, and that and my other friends' support and that of my family meant more to me than anything else. :-)

So just for you all I made sure to include some pics on the blog of my friend Cori, who we often just call Cori's Rack. We had the same plastic surgeon, had surgery on the same day, but I think he practiced on me before he perfected his technique on her.
