you also need to consider whether your frame will be a limiter and whether the crankset will limit how far inward you can move your cleats.
Like it is possible you get Crankset A with 5mm lower Q-Facts but the arms interfere with the shoe 5mm sooner
Or shoe starts hitting chain stay
You may also be able to artificially reduce Q-Factor by using an FSA BB on non FSA crank, or leaving the drive side washer off the FSA crank, but then you may need custom shaved chainring bolts to stop the crank from hitting the frame
I have no idea what bb386 is, I have only ever had bb30 and giants bb86, too many BBs! But generally cannondale Si/sl seems to have the lowest, then campag, then rotor/sram/shimano seem to be about the same.
. my bb30 cranks won't fit on this new frame the shop has built up. they say i have to have a bb386 / bbright crank. and they explained bb386 is wider.
i had been trying to buy hollowgram cranks for this frame. and i would have learned the hard way. hollowgram will not fit.
so i have to ask here for help since bikes and part compatibility have changed so much over the years
