whats the cost savings in a windy race like Cozumel or hawaii
Quote | Reply
anyone want to ballpark what the time savings in a windy race like Hawaii or Cozumel is by using Zipp 404 vs 808 approximately? Forget about the rider being blown around.
Lets say Disc you are a 5 hour rider
404?
808?
While you are at it, how about wingspan vs road giro helmet. Just assume your head is cool like the other side of the pillow in both and you remain tucked head up for the entire 112.

808 will be faster overall on both courses even though they are hard to compare directly.. Just relax and let the bike get pushed a bit. Once you tense up then you have to fight it and the motion becomes jerky. For safely I sometimes get up in the hoods if I am passing or getting passed in gusty areas.
