socal winter tri anyone?

day starts at mt baldy, 13km of xc/alpine touring around the resorts edge.
then hop on the bike, for ~56mi to huntington beach, to finish with a 1k swim.

thoughts on this? anything better? The reverse can also be done but they mountain will likely not having lighting for the xc ski. Also what are good routes from there to huntington beach that use continous bike paths?

You could ride from the Ski Lifts to Glendora Ridge Road and head west. Then follow the Tour of California route to Glendora Mtn Road north to East Fork rd west and Hwy 39 south to the end of the San Gabriel River Bike Path (about 35 miles). From there it's another 38 miles of bike path to the beach.
