slowtwitchers in Skokie - help
Hey all, I'm going to be in Skokie starting Sunday night for about 3 weeks staying at the doubletree for work. I've been to mapquest and it appears that a golf course is about 1 mile away. Does anyone know of any trails, tracks etc close by to run on. Will I get hit by a car trying to get to these places? Would anyone care to meet for a run? I promise to try and bring some 60+ degree weather. Thanks in advance, Desert Dude

Desert Dude,

Enjoy the cold, hopefully it will warm up. We are counting on you for that. If you have a car, you can drive about 2 miles West to Harms Woods. There is a fairly good trail. If you have the time, you can drive about 20 minutes East and run along the Lakefront. On weekends, if you head out early, you can drive downtown (20 minutes South) and wrong along the Lakefront by Navy Pier.

Hope this helps.
