re calibrate kickr w/o IOS?
is there a way to get the Kickr to match my stages PM "once and for all" so i'm not stuck using an external powermeter to control my flaky ergo trainer? I upgraded the firmware, but it still reads pretty low. They have a kit, but it requires an Apple phone

like 30 to 50w

I'm not sure if it's linear either.

Do you think the Stages is reading low or the Kickr?

I assume that the KICKR is reading 30-50 HIGH not low..

If that's the case... get used to it :) Sad to say, but I now use my SRM to control my KICKR for exactly that reason.

I bought the calibration kit, calibrated numerous times... and went so far as to get another KICKR.

Bottom line... use your external PM to control it.

assuming my Stages PM is somewhat correct, the data from the Kickr will be quite a bit lower by comparison. I don't mind swapping out a crank arm

Most of us that are complaining have KICKR's that read too high.

Not sure where your problem lies...

mine used to read a bit higher, but close enough. Now when I do Zwyft with it the output is too low, maybe I banged something moving it around

Do not know what software you are using for your workouts but with Trainerroad or PerfPro you can use your PM to control the Kickr.

i use the zwift and trainer road and it works fine, i was just hoping I could use the PM on a different bike. it's no big deal though, it works very well w/ the PM

Have you considered that you might be quite left leg dominant leading you into thinking that you're outputting more power than you really are? I've never heard of a Kickr reading low.

Stranger things have happened, maybe I can borrow a powertap wheel and computer off someone and do a little test
