...but which magnet to use and how?

Frank

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain.

if you can find it, a Spinergy stick-on magnet works best

Glue the magnet on with a hot glue gun

Cateye has also a magnet for HED3: http://www.trisports.com/cacowhma.html

Before I had the Cateye I taped a 'normal' magnet to my HED3.

I went to the Dollar store. bought some of those refrigerator magnets cut the butterfly off and used the magnet. Really I bought 4 or 5 for a dollar. I used a 2 sided sponge type tape to mount it.

That's smart. As these are my race wheels I do not need a magnet while racing. But when I - very seldom - will train on them I might use such a magnet.
