I haven't checked out the bike course yet (is it posted ?) but I live and train very close and know the roads well. I will be happy to share what info I have once the course is posted. There are a few of us "locals" on here so I am sure plenty of information will be available.

One thing for sure, the bike and run course will be pancake flat. Wind will be the only thing to be concerned with since its likely mostly open farm country.

Delaware Reservoir will likely be a very nice shade of brown water. Not the clearest lake and it will be warm (not very deep).

Are Delaware Lake & Delaware Reservoir the same thing?

Pink? Maybe. Maybe not. You decide.

By the way for anyone that might want to camp...its a pretty nice campground at the state park but it does fill up so if you are considering camping, plan on trying to makie reservations early.

Not a lot of hotels in the immediate area, most will be 8 to 10 miles away.

Argh! I just realized that this is the same weekend as Michigan Titanium AND the Pigman long course. I love MiTi but was thinking about adding a few other races next season.

Likely not a wetsuit legal race?

I was surprised this race sold out as quick as it did. Was very glad I registered early!

Bike course is in rural country roads. I grew up on the roads on the north end of the course. Haven't been up there in a while but will drive the course soon and report back. I would guess the roads are a bit rough.

The run course, I spend a lot of time running those roads. I like it. Not dead flat, a couple of small grades that are fun. Scenery not bad, some of the run along a small river and will have some shade.

Someone drove the course and posted on Facebook Group that the bike course has lots of potholes, a wooden bridge and some other issues.

You just described 99% of Ohio's roads ;-) Usually beautiful scenery though. Most likely the pot holes will be filled in by then but usually leaves it a little rough. Pre ride if you can and lower tire pressure a tad if necessary

I live in Ohio for over twenty years, if you are having problems finding roads without potholes give me a ring I send in about 100 courses.

I was being slightly facetious, as most Midwest roads are beat to hell in the spring, followed by poor patching in the summer. I just moved out of NEO after 18yrs, lots of Ohio tris have crap roads. But yes there are plenty of nice routes up there too

Actually HFP Racing has done a lot to fix the roads in time for races in the past. Last year it was the night before at Mohican but they did a great job working with the DOT get it all done.

I bet they are all fix or at least a solid effort will be made. Has to be better than Racine with their roads.

Muncie got their fix just in time last year as well.

I got it and I hope it is all good

I don't see it on the schedule for next year. Is this race happening in 2017?
