Hard Shelled Helmet for Time Trial
Please forgive my ignorance regarding my question.

I live in the UK and I have decided to enter some local Time Trials. It will add a bit of variety to my Tri training.

The time trials I want to do insist on having a "Hard Shell Helmet".

I currently use a Giro Air Attack helmet. (It is the well known aero road type of helmet. It has a few vents in it and the outside of it is not just foam.)

Can anyone tell me if this helmet I have, meets this criterion?

Thank you.

Yes, it will be fine.

Some early foam helmets (ex. the original Giro Prolight from the '80s) used a lycra cover over the foam, and then there were the "hairnet" helmets that were just leather and padding. This is what they are trying to exclude.
