Nope :( https://www.racermateinc.com/...SystemSetupNotes.pdf

In reality that is a machine that will surf the web, run Office and not a heck of a lot more.

The racemate minimum specs is way to high. I run the software on a laptop with way less power. I don't have the 3D stuff turned on though. Unless someone has that computer it is hard to say whether the software will run ok. I am inclined to believe that it will run ok as long as you don't want the 3D stuff. I will say though that 32 gig hard drive and 2 gig of ram is way low for windows 8.1.

Only the Orchid Magenta version will work.

It might technically "work", but it'll likely be a terrible experience. I'd look for something with at least an i3 processor as the integrated video is going to be better. A dedicated nVidia or AMD GPU is even better.

Great feedback. Thank you everyone! Can anyone point me in the right direction of what laptop is powerful enough without being over-kill (crazy expensive).

All lower-end laptops use the onboard video adapter, which isn't very good for this purpose. They recommend a video card with dedicated 512MB RAM. Here is the lowest-end i3 laptop I could quickly dig up. $480. It has twice the amount of recommended video RAM in a dedicated graphics chip:

A small desktop would probably work better, and my be a bit cheaper, but the convenience/portability of the laptop is nice.

It'll _probably_ run it. The "Intel HD Graphics" chip is weak, but RM1's graphics aren't so high-def. It'd run Tour de Giro, and we have a little better graphics than RM1 (IMO). Any kind of training software (Trainerroad, perfpro, etc) will also almost certainly work.

The framerate will be a bit choppy, but it'll do the trick.
