Wasn't involved in this work at all, so I'm just repeating some of the basics from the online release our dealers got a few days ago.

Feedback from our pro teams related to a need for better wet-conditions performance played a part in getting these pads approved.

The muddy conditions of cyclecross result in higher wear rates on the Aeolus D3 rims when anything other than Bontrager Carbon Stop cork pads are used.

yes of course but that was a communication from us to our dealer so I'm not going to post it here. if you would like more information I suggest you stop in at your Trek dealer.
