Hey Jack,
I see from the results that you had a great ride. Well done!
I managed 25mph (24:14) on NP of 288 (105% FTP). Thanks for the advice.
Scott
Ps (all) - Can I use this result to estimate CdA?

Ditto what Scott said, that was a crushing time.
I finished up about where I expected. Wind pattern was unusual for this course today which made pacing a challenge.

Thanks guys.
I clocked 21:09.17 (28.5), missing 2nd by 0.17 seconds....Colby of course crushed. I had a BBS estimate at 20:52, so I would say that was pretty much spot on given the unaccounted for wind we had today. I went out a little hard and was north of 380 at the turn around, but held on for dear life and came home with AP of 375w.
I took off 1:05 from last year (probably slightly faster without wind) on an improved setup and 44w average power increase.

Wow, I need some time to wrap my head around those numbers. Impressive! These time trials are a great way to test and compare fitness. I see the benefit of racing each year and building YOY comparisons. Clearly, you are getting stronger!
Your position is very clean. Where did you get the race photos? I saw photographers on course, but am not sure where to find the pics.

Woodinville Bicycle had their yellow sprinter van out. All their photos are available on Smug Mug: http://woodinvillebicycle.smugmug.com/ For some reason they are in a folder under 2014 Ice Breaker.

Great ride! What are your thoughts about the new helmet? no booties? maybe they would have got you that .17 secs?

I really like the new helmet. Posted this over in the S-Works TT Helmet thread, but construction is excellent, visor/attachment system is very well built, case is great, and Chris Yu (Specialized) claims visor or glasses is a wash which is nice as I prefer the visor (generally slower).
James Haycraft pointed out the booties over on FB. I was under the impression that S-Works Road is generally a pretty fast stand alone shoe, but apparently in his testing the Castelli rubberized booties will knock a few additional watts off. That might have done it....
