Maybe a late reply, but here are a couple option.....

There usually are riders that leave from the parking lot at the of a bank at the corner of 280 and lakeshore. Cant miss them. Usually leave at 7 or 7:30. Different groups, so maybe take a chance there.

Or easier logistically for those not familiar with BHAM......

Go to oak mountain state park and ride the roads there, not much traffic, roads long enough to keep you interested even if you have to ride the loop more than once.

Or go down Hwy 280 about 10 minutes south past 459 and ride hwy 41 and 43. Both parallel each other (about a mile or so apart) and are pretty good roads to ride at least 13-14+ miles or longer. There is connector hwy25 which takes you over part of double oak mountain, so we get some good climbs....logistically for someone not familiar with BHAM may be the easiest option. Generally there are cyclist and motorcyclists out on 25 due to the hills and scenery. There is actually a loop where you can go from the end of 41 down to 43, then over to 25 back over the mountain to 41, then back to the car....about 30 miles ish.
