I tried this on my UP and it seemed to look pretty good with my "slammed" stem (3T Integra): https://tinyurl.com/yd6v8bhh

This is probably the “shortest” bento I can think of and I have tried many

I use a Specialized Remora on my slammed Cd0.1 up against a Felt Dagger stem. Works out quite nicely height-wise.

I interpret your definition of "slammed stem" as a cut out in the head tube where the top of the stem is inline with the top tube. Like a Plasma TT or Shiv TT.

I think your best bet is a bento with a rounded front, like Dark Speed Works or Xlab model. Take a look at Vesterby's SuperSlice from this year.

Or, if you run no spacers and a BTA bottle, then you may be able to butt the bento up against the back of the bottle. May have to put new holes in the bento to allow it to bolt further forward and overlap the stem.

The Xlabs Stealth Pocket 400c or 500c is the most aero bento box you can get. Looking at Ellie Salthouse's bike, she just uses a Torhan's Aerobento with a slammed stem on her Blue Triad and it is sticking out over the stem, but it doesn't seem to slow her down.
