Zoot Prophet 2.0
I currently swim in a Roka Maverick Elite, which I got at the start of last season. Prior to that I swam in a Helix for three years, but I honestly felt it was a bit too much suit for me, so I switched to the Roka. Overall, I'm 'ok' with the Roka, but it doesn't have the shoulder flexibility of the Helix and it also allowed water in at my neckline no matter how I adjusted the velcro closure.

I'm considering getting the Zoot Prophet 2.0 to replace the Roka, as I can get a very good deal on one. Any idea how it compares to either the Helix or Maverick Elite??

Thanks!!

Love my Zoot. Best flexibility of any wetsuit I've owned. Absolutely destroyed my Huub in comfort.

In my experience, I wouldn't say you're making an apples:apples comparison here. The Maverick Elite is Roka's 3rd tier suit. The Zoot Prophet 2.0 is Zoot's highest end suit.

I thought the Prophet 2.0 is/was a great suit. But I would say, without question, the ROKA Maverick Pro and Maverick X both have superior shoulder flexibility.

I did prefer the collar on the Prophet to the Maverick's collar, and I don't consider this to be a minor detail, but if your primary focus is shoulder ROM, then I'd move up in spec within the ROKA line.

Of course, wetsuit fit varies. And the Prophet may just fit you better. I find Zoot suits tend to run a bit shorter in the torso. I wear a ST Maverick and I wore a MT in the Prophet 2.0.

The Prophet 2.0 is a great suit. I played a pretty big role in the changes from the Prophet 1, which I did not like, to the Prophet 2, which I loved. And if it fits you better, that's awesome.

Jordan,

Thanks for the detailed response - I appreciate it! I'm on Team Zoot, so can get a new Prophet for around 25% of (not off) the sticker price. The new Wicki-Wicki is coming out as Zoot's top suit, so they're discounting the suits from this past season. At that price in my mind it makes sense, and I can compare it to my Roka. I really liked the mobility of the Helix but my body position wasn't that of a real swimmer and I didn't do the suit justice.

Jordan this is not correct, the wiki-wiki is the new top of the line Zoot wetsuit. Nate I was in the same boat as you. Really liked the Helix, then switched to a few other brands, including Roka, and couldn't get a good fit/feel. Had a chance to test the Wiki-wiki and I am hands down getting that suit this year. They did an incredible job with the suit. I have never used the Prophet 2.0 but see if you can test the suits out. I work with a few athletes that swam in the Prophet 2.0 and now the Wiki-wiki and they say there is a good improvement in the newest suit.
