Xterra Victoria sprint RR

This was my first go at an off road triathlon.

I really enjoyed the laid back grass roots race.

Swim - water was very warm. Someone said it was 26C. There were 45 starters. Lots of room to swim.

Bike - very tough bike. Lots of uphill and rocky/root trails. One uphill seemed like a straight up rock face, I would be very impressed if someone rode up this.

Run - first part was on a decent trail. Then it went up, up and up. One hill they called "the beast", again I would be very impressed if someone ran up this.

Again I really enjoyed this race.

It is a very different beast compared to road triathlons.

Thanks.

I think I will give it a go next year, but I will definitely need to work on my handling. Some of those descents I was white knuckled.
