I have a set of 15 year old wheels (Mavic). One of the rims has a small crack in the metal right at the junction of a spoke hole. Is this a problem? These wheels have a lot of spokes, not one of those wheels that have 6 or 8 spokes.

It will still fail in spectacular fashion if the rim cracks. Buy a new rim.

This is not necessarily the death knoll for the rim if that is so.
Post a pic.
