My dad is a long time car mechanic and has been ridding road bikes for five years. He loves maintaining his bikes and wants to learn more about working on them. For his birthday this year I would love to send him to class on wheel building or advanced mechanics. He is definitely not a novice who needs help fixing a flat or overhauling a drive-train, but he has no experience truing wheels, adjusting bearing, or building bikes. He lives in the New York City area, but the places I have heard of are in Colorado and Oregon. Does anyone know places in the NY area?
