What's the ST approved youtube yoga program?
So! Is there a ST-approved youtube yoga channel?

Been away from SBR because of moving injury drama. Primarily ITB issues, but all lower back and below are stiff/limited ROM. I'd gone to a beginning yoga class 5x over two weeks, and it definitely made me feel better-and I enjoyed it! But I've since moved, and haven't found a new job yet. So paying $50-60/month is out. Youtube it is! Any suggestions?

I can't currently afford PT, but the sports medicine doc said that squats+deadlifts(done heavy)+yoga, both done diligently would likely take care of me. I'm comfortable in the weight room(and here wouldn't be the place to ask about that, anyway...), but I'd like a routine to follow for yoga. So here I am, Slowtwitch. Dispense your wisdom.

I really like her:

I checked several other channels, but these are pretty much the basic stretches everyone uses as far as I know.

Slowtwitch doesn't approve of yoga unless you're on the Captain Canada fitness regime.

So it is NOT Training and NOT approved for S/B/R unless:

1. You are female and actually like Yoga
2. You are male and have something going with the yoga instructor

But don't expect it to make your S/B/R faster by more than another swim, ride or run. Of course only as long as you are not already riding every day, Swimming 9 times per week and running twice per day.

I quite like this routine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ok-OupCTyK4

I'm no expert, but I've been doing this ~1x per week and I think it's helped me on the bike pretty nicely. I still can't do half reclining hero for the life of me, but I still in enjoy it.

If you have an iPhone, download Yoga Studio ($0.99)

Great app with a lot of good programs to choose from.

I am currently trialing that regime and like it a lot. I don't recall much yoga though?

Man, if I could run 2x a day I'd just do that, but the doc recommended yoga for these stubborn IT Bands.

The instructor was comping my classes, as she's my best friend. Does that count?

Besides, what's wrong with being a boy that likes yoga?

Thanks for the suggestions, y'all.

I'm not overly concerned with maximizing my SBR, considering I exercise for mental health management, not race PRs. Any actual training(as compared to exercise) is a consequence of liking organization and occasionally enjoying hard workouts, not a deliberate goal. I do SBR because the variety keeps things interesting.
