What is my bike split going to be?
5'10, 155 pounds
2011 Specialized Transition, Super 9 clincher, 404 FC front
Rudy project wing 57, very aero position

Some past results (all on trainer)
-35 min @ 254 watts
-2x20min w/5 min recovery, efforts are usually around 225, HR will average out to about 155
-15 min @ 277 watts (could not have gone any harder)
-2 hours @ 210 watts, AVG HR: 143, High: 153, IF = .85
-Can comfortably spin for 3 hours around 185w

Course:
56 miles
Very flat, <500 ft, out and back, minimal crosswinds, good roads

Not sure what else you might need to know, ask and I'll do my best to answer.

Thanks!

I learned a long time ago that the only pertinent information you offer is found within the last sentence.

your 2x20 is worse that your 35min??

it depends on how aero your body is on your bike. if you can do 220watts you could be anywhere from 2:22 to 2:40 depending on your position.

checked out best bike split. site is awesome thanks.

jjh, my 2x20 is a more controlled effort. my 35min effort was closer to an all out effort. sorry, should've made that clear.

The IF from his 2 hour ride suggests a FTP of 247. All his numbers seem to make sense if his 2x20' was a sweet spot workout and not all out. Otherwise, his 2 hour power and 2x20' is probably way too close.

Something doesn't jibe here. You routinely do 2 x 20 min efforts at only 225 W, but have your threshold set at >247 W? Can you say "vanity FTP"?

I don't have my threshold set at 247. I have my FTP set at 225 on my computer. The last 2x20 I did was 223 and 225. The 2 hour workout's data came right off of training peaks and I did that on Monday.
