Wahoo kickr studio?
Can the kickr be linked to to other kickrs? Similar to how some shops have computrainer theater.

Thanks

Yes, you can have your own studio.

We have one at FasCat Coaching in Boulder, Colorado. I have been in charge of it this past year. There are definitely still some issues with ANT+ connectivity so hopefully Bluetooth can be more of an option in the future with multiple units. Just make sure you don't have a lot of other things that can cause interference. (Bluetooth Phones, Microwaves, Powermeters, etc).

We use the PerfPro Studio Software with a WASP ANT+ Bridge device, and 12 KickR's.

Yes- Just be sure you're not situated next to a Subway... or anything else for that matter.

Yes--but you will have the problem of users coming in with a wide range of drive trains, which will mean swapping cassettes around on the Kickr. Factor in various degrees of chain wear on client bikes, and you'll have an interesting situation.

Carson can chime in with his thoughts, but we've never had a problem with this.

95% of the time we run in ERG mode. Sometimes we do mixed mode. We've had 8 speed mtb to 11speed.
Sure, with eleven speed sometimes it takes 2 clicks to switch gears, but you can always find something that works pretty quickly. Additionally, a quick turn of your adjuster and things get dialed in pretty well.

With ERG mode, you can ALWAYS find a gear that runs smooth regardless of drivetrain.

Unfortunately, it's the nature of the beast. Unless you're going to have 20 KickR's where you can have 2 Campy (10 / 11), say 10 Shimano 10 speed, 5 Shimano 11, and 2-3 8/9 speed, you're not going to have much luck.

As Rob said, we never really experienced a lot of issues. Sure you'll have ghost shifts / etc, but it is what it is. People should be able to understand that. It's a mechanical device, there won't be 100% work rate.

Also, in order to curb issues with having to shift too much, go in to your courses and MANUALLY EDIT the courses. We did that with our Boulder, CO climbing rides. With the GPS files, there were so many data points ranging from 1-20% on a 4% gradient hill that it caused headaches to the riders. I went in and made most of the climb in the 3-5% range, except for where I knew the grade was different just to make things easier. It's things like this that will make it go more smooth. Without rolling resistance of being outside, inside, you feel EVERY SINGLE GRADE CHANGE.

Hope this helps

FWIW, the KICKR Snap is the wheel on version of the KICKR and could be used in a Studio set up
