I must be going blind. Shields was in the 200 fly, finished 9th in prelims.

Chase Kalisz is probably the guy to beat, but I like how Pace Clark swam it, second 100 in under 60, only guy to do so in the field. He's sitting in 3rd. I think its gonna be Kalisz and Clark for the WC roster.

Yeah, Murphy has a real chance to make the 400 free relay team.
His sprint free times in HS (yards) were very fast and he's consistently dropped great relay legs on Cal's free relays.

The 200 fly depth surprised me, lots of guys sub 2:00

And the women's 100 final is going to be a great race tonight. Be nice to see 2 of them dip under :53 (Comerford & Manuel).
Worrell, Neal, Smoliga and Ledecky should be clustered in the 53mid range.

Saw a factoid on swimswam, to make the A final in the mens 100 free this morning was faster than making the Olympic final in Rio.

Conger and Clark in the 2fly! I didn't think Conger would be able to beat Kalisz, but he did.

Mr reliable and Dressel in the 100 free. Sub 48 for both.

And comerford / Manuel in the 100 on the women's side. No surprises there.

She had a great NCAA season and is on a roll.
Albiero has done a great job building the L'ville program.

Just started watching the NBCSN broadcast on my DVR. One of the men in the 100FR had a tattoo on his chest and I think they pixelated it. It was during introductions. Looked diamond shaped and reddish. Not sure if it was temp as an ad or permanent.
Found it odd they would do that.

I like Mal but Queen Sarah swam 52.08 in Canet.

She's been on fire this season.
The other thing I like about Sarah is she knows how to perform at World's and the Olympics.
It's one thing to dominate the Mare Nostrum series and another to do it at major championships.

And besides her, the US women need to get past the Campbell sisters and Penny.
The women's 100 free is going to be fun to watch.

I think Cate C is out of worlds. Not sure about Bronte C...

Wow, Conger got 4th in the first circle seeded heat of the 200.

looks like he got fifth, behind Dressel, D'Arrigo, Pieroni, and Apple.

D'Arrigo doesn't count (can't swim in the A final).

From the splits, he lost it a bit in the 3rd 50. Of the top 16, he and Dressel were the only guys over 28s in the 3rd 50 (but Dressel was out faster and brought it home faster.

Dressel didn't look too winded after that swim either.

Might still see him swim 4x2 heats in Budpest. Everyone is acting like those 5/6 relay slots are automatic selections. If they implemented the must swim rule at worlds I would rather select prelim relay swimmers from within the team when possible.
