Triathlon Artwork

I was having a heck of a time finding some large posters for my office so I ended up making these. Thought I would share them if anyone else is interested.

Backstory: I was skiing earlier this year at Kicking Horse in Golden, BC, and the place I was staying had some artwork up in the same style (http://kickinghorseculture.ca/...n/we-call-this-home/). I really liked it, and thought a triathlon piece would be great. After much searching, I couldn't find anything I liked and decided to make my own. Not that I'm very artistic or anything (really just a copycat!) but I am pretty happy with the result and thought others might like it too.

They do look great but if it were me I'd take the "triathlon" off. Would Look cleaner and if all the posters are in one room people will get the picture.

I agree. Looks really cool - Even cooler without the "triathlon" caption.

And the cyclist could be a little more schematic/abstract as well. Like the runner, where you don't really see a face or the outfit. (Specifically I wouldn't hang a picture of an Argon18 on my wall when I ride something different)

otherwise: great job.

They look great! How'd you create them - by starting with photos and making it abstract?

And, to think, I was going to have back issues of Inside Triathlon framed for art work of the house. Apart from the seat being too high on the bike, these look great.

Thank you for sharing.

Unless they are your photos, someone will be unhappy if you are trying to sell these. To put that up in your den, that is another story.

Very true, and why I'm not trying to sell whatsoever! I take no credit for the photos, just thought others might also enjoy. Really just for my personal use.

I can post the source photos and the Photoshop files when I get home, if anyone wants to take a look or remove the text. I appreciate all the feedback thus far.

The hardest part was finding the photos that I liked, then I used the "Cutout" filter in Photoshop to make it abstract. After that, I used vectormagic.com to create a vector version of them that could be scaled up. I truly didn't do much, just a combination of other tools to give me the end result. Thanks all!
