Tri shorts with Fleece Chamios
Hi,

I was wearing 2xu basic tri short with fleece, I like the minimalistic pad possible for running and it doesn't bother me on the bike. They changed to a pad on the same shorts for 2017. Looking for recommendation for other choices.

Thanks!

I have a pair of Orca 226 shorts that I really like. They are a few years old, and I don't know if they have a different type of pad nowadays.

I really like Cobb Cycling's tri shorts (although I guess they're calling them cycling shorts now). Definitely minimalist, but I've found them to be very comfortable.

Give Skinfit a look. I believe the tri shorts have just a fleece and they are super comfortable.

Skinfit was a little less for me, it is just another layer of fabric.
I was like "where is the pad I put in that pocket they made here?"
Just tried em on but wasn't my type.

Not to say that there is anything wrong with the suggestions here (haven't tried them), but you may also want look at Zoot and Fusion. Both (in terms of shorts) have worked well for me.

Zoot has a plain fleece pad and another slightly more substantial/built up fleece pad (sbr 2d?) which I find really comfortable for longer rides. Fusion is a thin/plain fleece, and I find the shorts to be really comfortable overall.

Zoot with the BioWrap around the thigh. They offer two lengths. Both have hip pockets. I found these a few years ago and I wear them for every race. Planning on wearing them for upcoming Boston Marathon as well. I live in Texas, so during all my races I'm sweating like crazy, pouring water over myself and putting ice in the shorts to stay cool. Never had any chafing issues at all. The'res no stitching inside, just "piping". Highly recommend.

I really like the Fusion gear, basic fleece chamois that seems to fit the bill!

Could not agree more, if you actually want shorts with just basic fleece chamois, then i think it would be really hard to top Fusion!

Hi sunray1985,

I find these Desoto Forza (https://www.desotosport.com/...asico-integrated-pad) works for me all the time.
