Has anyone ever compared the fit of the two? I don't want to assume they will fit the same but I can't seem to find a comparison online. I'd like to get a pair of the Octanes but without local availability it looks like I will have to special order them and I'd like to get it right the first time.

i have the octane II, they fit same as the tri fly carbon. Maybe a tad longer (meaning less than 1/2 size difference.) The only down side is that the heel pad on the bottom of the shoe is also carbon molded into the sole. So if you don't have cleats with grips, it is hard to walk/stand on concrete.
Would you say the toe box width is the same?
Any other feedback on the Octane II? I'm just about to pull the trigger but not 100% sold yet and can't find any reviews anywhere.
