Training Peaks Premium w/out a Power Meter??
STers:

I'd like to add some metrics to my (pretty much random) training and I've been using the free edition of Training Peaks. The premium edition seem to offer much more but is it just a neat toy one soon tires of? Also, I don't have a power meter and I'm not sure when I will make that move. The site seems to really emphasize power. Is the upgrade worth the money with no power meter?

Thanks!

Do you use a bike trainer with a virtual trainer or software of any kind like TrainerRoad. Do you use a HR monitor?

Power is just one of the training data sources TP uses to do it's calculations. Power is a more accurate measure for cycling but HR is pretty good as well. For running pace is used primarily (along with elevation on running if you run with a GPS tracker).

If you want to try Premium for free for a month DM me and I'll hook you up :)

HR only on my Garmin 920. No power of any kind.

As Rodney mentioned above HR works good. You just need to figure our your zones based on your HR and then create bike workouts based on that. For running you can either again use your HR with zones or your 620 would work great with pacing.
