Trying to figure out if it will work directly from Stages to my iPad. If so, I'll sign up.

It will if you have an iPad 3 or newer. That has BT 4.0 built in.

If you have an iPad 2 you can use it with a Wahoo ANT Dongle.

Note: The app is not optimized for iPad yet. We're working on it right now.

I was trying to figure this out too but with my PowerTap. I need the Wahoo thing to connect to my iPhone 5 and I am good to go right? But this looks sweet!

Yes! You'll also need a 30 pin to lighting adapter since wahoo only has the 30 pin ANT Key.

Be sure to ask for the right one. :-) I got the wrong one. The type that only charges and does not transmit data when I asked.
The one made by Apple will work.

Yes! ANT+ can be picked up by multiple head units at the same time.

I can see the workout library including my custom workouts. Is there away to only filter on my custom workouts only?

No, not unless RacerMate makes an ANT+/BT adapter that plugs into the back of your CT head unit.

We really want them to do this...it would make them relevant and wouldn't be that hard to build.

That's pretty much all I can say about that :).

Been using TR for several years now with a Windows laptop, Garmin Speed/Cadence Sensor, and Ant stick. I have an iPad mini and iPhone 5s now. Do I need a Bluetooth sensor installed on my bike to send the data to the device in order to utilize the app, or can I get an adapter for the devices to use the Ant stick I already have? I would rather carry my iPhone or iPad mini than my laptop. And I would prefer to not spend any more money than I have to. Private school teacher so I ain't money bags.

You'd have to use a wahoo ANT+ key in your situation with a lighting to 30 dongle :(. Sorry it isn't easier. I wish Apple would just allow ANT in their iPhone.

Ok I guess my big question would be if Stages can broadcast via Bluetooth to my phone/iPad and Ant+ to my Garmin. Probably a Stages question, but maybe someone here knows.

Hi Nate -

Is using the Wahoo RFLKT+ as a ANT+/BT bridge to a newer iPad/iPhone still on the roadmap?

Yes, Stages tells us that will work.

Yes, you could just buy the BT speed/cadence sensor. Their new one is BT and ANT+ at the same time, so that's pretty sweet.

The wahoo Tickr HR monitor is also ANT+/BT device.

And yes to the first one, the wahoo dongle and 30 pin to lighting adapter you linked me to were correct.

Nate,

I'm currently using a KK Road Machine, Garmin GSC 10 and an ANT+ stick on my iMac. I would love to be able to move the trainer into the living room from time to time to watch TV. How could I do that with my iPhone 5? The Wahoo Fitness Key and the 30pin-lightning adapter? Can I still use the GSC 10 or would I need the Wahoo sensor?
