I used to access Musselman's via Cedar Beach, but I think this has now closed to the public and is available only to campers. Is there another public access point to get into the water? I could find only lakefront private property in my superficial google search, and I doubt some cottager wants a middle-aged dude in a speedo walking across their lawn.
